About Checkfit.

Checkfit was built by people who'd spent too long running other people's programs. We followed templates from books, from spreadsheets, from coaches we'd never met. Some of them worked for a few months. Most of them stopped working the moment our strength stopped matching the average the template was written for.

Every program assumes an average lifter. Nobody is the average lifter. The 80-kilo bench press that's a stretch goal for one person is a warm-up for another. The progression scheme that works for someone with great recovery breaks the person with two kids and a long commute. Templates ignore the human running them — because they have to, by definition. They can only know one thing, and the lifter is not that thing.

We built Checkfit to do the opposite. The starting point isn't a template; the starting point is the lifter. Checkfit measures your current strength, calibrates the first session to it, and adapts every session that follows based on what actually happened in the gym. The math runs in the background. You see one session at a time.

We're a small team, design-led, building on iOS first. Our mission is to make programs that respect the lifter doing them — and to make following one of those programs as simple as opening the app and lifting what's on the screen.
