Privacy Policy.

Checkfit ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Checkfit mobile application and checkfit.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language. Where legal terms appear, we've defined them.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: email address, password (stored hashed), display name.
• Training data: the lifts, sets, reps, weights, and notes you log in the app.
• Body composition data you choose to enter: weight, visceral fat, body fat percentage, measurements.
• Communication: messages you send to our support email.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, anonymized usage analytics.
• Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription, via our payments provider.

Information from third parties

• Payments: Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat process subscription transactions. We receive subscription status, not your full payment details.
• Authentication: if you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address per Apple's Sign in with Apple guidelines.

2. How we use information

• To provide the Service: generate your program, adapt it to your performance, and display your training history.
• To improve the Service: aggregate, de-identified analytics on how the app is used.
• To communicate with you: send transactional emails (e.g. account, subscription) and, with consent, occasional product updates.
• To enforce our Terms and prevent abuse.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing). These providers are bound by contract to use the data only as we direct.
• Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data retention

We retain your training data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

5. Your rights

• Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correction: update inaccurate information.
• Deletion: delete your account and the associated data.
• Export: download your training history in a standard format.
• Withdraw consent: opt out of marketing communications at any time.

6. California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.

7. EU residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is contract (to provide the Service) and consent (for marketing).

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We hash passwords. We restrict employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure; we strive to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@checkfit.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
