How to do it

  1. Sit on the machine with the balls of your feet on the platform and pads secured over your knees.
  2. Set the weight. Drop your heels below the platform for a full stretch.
  3. Press up onto your toes to full extension. Pause briefly at the top.
  4. Lower under control back to the stretched position. That's one rep.

Form cues

  • Full range: deep heel drop, high toe extension.
  • Slow eccentric — 2–3 seconds down.
  • Keep knees pinned to the pads through the whole rep.
