How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench and grip it firmly behind your head.
  2. Press your body up so only your shoulders touch the bench.
  3. Keep the body rigid in one straight line.
  4. Lower slowly toward the bench without breaking at the hips.

Form cues

  • Body straight from shoulders to toes
  • Lower as slowly as you can
  • Don't let the lower back arch
