One-leg hip hinge with a dumbbell counterweight.
How to do it
- Hold a dumbbell in one hand, stand on the opposite leg.
- Hinge at the hip, letting the free leg travel back.
- Lower until you feel the hamstring stretch.
- Drive the hips forward to stand.
Form cues
- Hips stay square to the floor
- Reach the free leg back, don't just lean forward
- Soft knee on the standing leg
